Comic-Con looked a little different this year, there has been an ongoing strike in Hollywood which affected what companies would be bringing, including casting and programming. Most panels were focused around animated movies, shows and international as well.

Started off this year at the Sonic-Cafe! Sonic did an overlay at a local restaurant. The whole thing was themed with food, video games and even exclusive merch!
I was able to attend the AMC Interview with the Vampire offsite. This was an overlay that looked like New Orleans and included a bar, magic readings, live music, games and was an awesome overall experience.
Also went to the FX offsite which had a few different activations for various shows they were promoting. I was not ready for American Horror Story, there were some scary surprises in the medical office I was not prepared for! The What we do in the Shadows section had a wheel you could spin to win prizes including Ice Cream, which is a must in the heat! Showgun had the most beautiful set up with live traditional Japanese drum players.
Paramount brought a new activation, I am curious if this one will be a regular feature for the next few years. It definitely felt more of a fixture than a one and done deal. Inside the Paramount Lounge there was a super cute SpongeBob Polaroid photo op. For Yellowjackets it was a suspensful mirror walk through experience, very fitting for the show! A Pet Sematary photo op, Good Burger 2 burgers and much more! Very cool experience and hope they come back again!
One of the most memorable offsites this year was the Haunted Mansion hosted by Disney. There was a panel earlier in the day that screened the movie and offered “Doombuggy” rides to those in attendance to the offsite party. Inside featured Madame Leota, Ghostly decorations and a photo op. A truly unforgettable experience!
We also had a great time in the exhibit hall, taking lots of pictures at the Nickelodeon booth, Star Wars, NeoPets party, and Scholastic just to name a few!
