Bad Boys For Life is in theaters on January 17th, 2020.

Bad Boys For hits theatres this weekend. This is the third Bad Boys movie released and it’s being released 17 years later. Don’t judge me too hard but I have never seen any of these. Therefore, I definitely didn’t care about this movie AT ALL. I thought this movie was going to be TRASH, especially since it was coming out in January. However, after watching this movie, I must say this was a pretty entertaining movie and I really enjoyed it.

Mike Lowry (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are still patrolling the streets of Miami. Marcus is now a grandfather, wanting to retire while Mike refuses to let Marcus retire while also believing he himself is still bulletproof, until that is, an old enemy from Mike’s past arrives to Miami looking for revenge.

Yes, this movie is sometimes over the top and very exaggerated. It was also extremely cheesy at times. However, It was very fun and entertaining for me. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith have perfect chemistry together. It was fun watching them poke fun at each other while also watching them together in action. Martin Lawrence was so comedic. I enjoyed him and his jokes the most. One in particular scene where I laughed out loud was when there was something on a person’s injured forehead (that’s all I’ll say). There were also some enjoyable action sequences in the movie.

This movie also had a very memorable villain. They showed how he went achieving his goals and what he was willing to do to get there. They found a way to make this villain be very convincing and forceful by working him into the character's lives and making the stakes feel really high and personal. I will also say this movie was pretty violent. I wasn’t really expecting it. There were a couple of moments in the movie of surprising violence, so be aware.

This movie was way better than I thought it would be. If you loved both of the other Bad Boys films and you enjoy watching Will Smith and Martin Lawrence back on screen together making jokes and kicking butt, you’ll definitely enjoy this movie!

Rating: 3.3 out of 5
