The Bad Boys Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) and Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) are back together for one last ride in the highly anticipated Bad Boys for Life.
Bad Boys For Life is in theaters on January 17th, 2020.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence return as Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, two best friend detectives who are out for “one last ride” to solve a murder mystery.
New to the franchise is Paola Nunez who plays Rita, a lieutenant and ex-girlfriend of Mike. She runs a squad that solves cases using technology and non-violent alternatives. Vanessa Hudgens also joins the franchise as part of this team, she plays Kelly, a badass. Other additions to the team include Alexander Ludwig as Dorn, a feminist techie and Charles Melton, a hip, young cop. Mike and Marcus learn a new way of doing things by joining the team. We also have a new villain, Jacob Scipio, who plays Armando Armas, is a product of his environment, loyal to his mother, Isabel Aretas, played by Kate Del Castillo, who sends him on a mission of revenge.
I was a little worried since I was not familiar with the writers. I guess I had nothing to worry about because the movie was great! If you liked the first and second one, you will definitely like this. It was funny and entertaining, just what you would expect. The movie is a bit long but it went by fast and held a good pace. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith are hilarious together, I think they will make more of these - at least I hope so! I absolutely love this franchise and it would be disappointing if this was really the last one.
