JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM is in theaters, Real-D 3D, Dolby Cinema and IMAX June 22nd, 2018.

I don't think people realize the success that Jurassic World was and what it created. Jurassic World had to not only start an old franchise, but it needed to be so successful that it could carry it into a new set of movies, which I think everyone can agree with, it did. Just to say that is easy, you need to think about how successful Jurassic World was. The only problem with this, is that the audience now has had a taste of awesomeness, and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom needs to capture the audience again like the original.

Now asking a sequel to be better than the first is a tall order. It's rarely done, and it isn't easy to happen. I sadly, and it pains me to say this, don't think Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom capture the audience that the first did. Now I'm sure the people will attend this movie, and it will have a high opening, I just don't think it's what the audience needed, or should I say wanted from this movie.

This movie just seems flat and it feels like two movies they meshed into one movie. They needed to pick one idea and go with it. People will claim that they loved the nostalgia this movie did to the OG Jurassic Park, but this is one of the flaws I see in this movie. Jurassic World went back to the OG, this sequel should not be pulling on our memory from the OG, it needs to keep going on it's own path, and it needs to be it's own.

Now you may see below that I gave this movie four out of five, and that's only because I did like this movie, you just need to get the biggest bucket of popcorn you can get, maybe two, and unplug your mind for two hours. Don't start throwing logic into the movie, and for sure, don't think about too much that happens too hard. They you may just give this movie four out of five, like me.

Rating: 4 out of 5
