Review: Megan Leavey

MEGAN LEAVEY is based on the true-life story of a young Marine Corporal (Kate Mara) whose unique discipline and bond with her military combat dog saved many lives during their deployment in Iraq. When she is assigned to clean up the K9 unit after a disciplinary hearing, Leavey identifies with a particularly aggressive dog, Rex, and is given the chance to train him.

Megan Leavey is a war movie that is something many people need to see. Any type of war movies are going to be powerful with the both audiences being able to relate to war. There are some touching times in this movie that will make you feel really depressed, depending on if you're a dog person or not. If you don't think you're a dog person, then why are you watching this movie.

Kate Mara, who is the lead, is a powerful actor. People will still remember her character from 'House of Cards,' even though she was only on one season, I know I agree that the people want her back. She could have been involved in the show more and brought it to even high heights that it is already at.

Were you wondering where Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) has been? well he makes a surprise visit in this movie. Actually there were a good amount of cameos in this movie. Common and Bradley Whitford to name a few. So make sure you keep a look out for them.

I think this movie, along with any other recent war movie that has been to do with the most recent war, is going to be heart felt with all audiences. The military has to deal with a lot, and it doesn't stop just because you're on US soil. This movie will show you that.
