Review: Hands of Stone

Hands of Stone is the Biopic we want from Robert DeNiro.

Hands of Stone is about the boxing legend Roberto Duran. This movie provides a great back story into Roberto Duran's life. It talks about his up bringing, and shows you how he lived and what he did before he became famous.

Oddly Usher plays Sugar Ray, who boxes Roberto Duran twice in this movie. Although you will recognize Usher's face, his body looks like the work of CGI. I ended up having to Google search to see if he lost the weight and gained muscle, or if it was all digital. I will not spoil what I found out.

If you are a fan of Robert DeNiro or boxing, then you may want to check this movie out. If not, then you should wait and see it on RedBox.

Fun Fact:
Robert DeNiro's actual adopted daughter, Drena DeNiro, plays the adopted daughter of Ray Arcel (Robert DeNiros character) in this movie.

3 out of 5

It's worth the price of admission for DeNiro.

It was just ok. Some good acting but the story line was weak.

Great movie, I remember a lot of things in that time era. Usher and DeNiro were also great

Overall I liked this movie. The fight scenes were as good as Rocky. A few places this movie is a bit slow. I would give 3.5 stars out of 5.
