Get your popcorn ready! The start of the blockbuster season is here, and THE FALL GUY has set the bar at the highest it has been in years. Start getting excited now, this movie is worth the over hype for you to build on.
Colt, Ryan Gosling, is a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?
Ryan Gosling knows how to make this film a blockbuster. He packs his A-game into his character and goes all out on screen. He juggles so many hats in this movie, not just as a stuntperson implies, as you are led to believe. He brings all his talent out and is able to bring home a character we can all get behind and root for during the whole movie.
Emily Blunt's character, Jody, also just seems so natural in this film. It's the person you want Colt to end up with, and you cheer on the whole film.
The movie packs in the right amount of everything you need; action, romance, comedy, and style.
Everyone is going to relate to this movie. It brings in music from every generation, while also vibing well together with the different genre tastes. The movie also has moments that will make you feel like it's your life story. While you and I may not be stunt people, the film does well to relate the emotions we all go through, and throws it at us in a funny, clever way.
There are so many relatable and laugh-out-loud moments. You will not only be on the edge of your seat sometimes, but you will be feeling and caring for the emotions that are portrayed on screen. This movie will hit you hard, stay on your mind, and make you re-think over and over again.
Grab that large popcorn, blockbuster season is in full swing, and this will be hard to beat. Make sure you stay during the credits for a mid credit scene.
