Are you ready to experience a new robot? Here comes 'M3gan' and while you may laugh at the name, that won't be the only thing you'll be laughing at. Get ready to buckle up and laugh at this little robot lady.
She’s more than just a toy. She’s part of the family. M3gan is a marvel of artificial intelligence, a life-like doll programmed to be a child’s greatest companion and a parent’s greatest ally. Designed by brilliant toy-company roboticist Gemma, M3gan can listen and watch and learn as she becomes friend and teacher, playmate and protector, for the child she is bonded to. When Gemma suddenly becomes the caretaker of her orphaned 8-year-old niece, Cady, Gemma’s unsure and unprepared to be a parent. Under intense pressure at work, Gemma decides to pair her M3GAN prototype with Cady in an attempt to resolve both problems—a decision that will have unimaginable consequences.
While this movie is interesting to see how a child handles a robot friend, you can't help but think you've seen this before. Maybe just other versions like that doll that comes to life and starts a killing spree. However, this movie makes up for itself along the way. This movie adds funny little add-ins that make you laugh at the movie more than being scared.
While M3gan does some pretty weird and out there things, you often wonder to yourself if you're laughing with M3gan or at her. I felt at times she did such crazy things that you ended up laughing at her. While this is good for the film, this won't be what horror junkies are looking for, so they may be upset at this one.
I say, if you get a chance, watch 'M3gan.' I found this one to have some good jump scares, and some scenes that will make the whole audience bust out laughing.
'M3gan' is in Theaters January 6th, 2022.
