What happens when you throw a bunch of random stories together about Hollywood in the past? You get what is called 'Babylon.' While the movie itself isn't bad, it just seems crazy for what it is, and sometimes you'll be lost in what you're actually watching.

From Damien Chazelle, BABYLON is an original epic set in 1920s Los Angeles led by Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva, with an ensemble cast including Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart. A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.

Now the cast and acting are what makes this movie worth the watch. The cast is insanely good, and there is a well billed full cast, from Brad Pitt to Margot Robbie and more. This cast is huge. The acting in the movie is what shines through.

The score for the movie helps carry it along as well. It keeps you interested in watching, even though you may have been sitting there for so long.

While you may be excited about watching this one, maybe you should wait until it's on a streaming service. This movie is long and overdone. At least at home, you can get bathroom breaks when needed. This movie's runtime is long and feels even longer. So maybe watch it in pieces, but I'm not sure if that can even save this movie.

'Babylon' opens in Theaters on December 23rd, 2022.

Rating: 3 out of 5
