HOUSE-OF-GUCCI

'House of Gucci' opens in theaters nationwide on Wednesday, November 24th, 2021.

Gucci is a well known brand, haven’t you ever wanted to know how it all started, yeah me neither. However, this film does start off interesting, but then it quickly slows down and drags on for the first and second act. Just in time for this to pick up in the third act it ends.

'House of Gucci' is inspired by the shocking true story of the family empire behind the Italian fashion house of Gucci. Spanning three decades of love, betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately murder, we see what a name means, what it’s worth, and how far a family will go for control.

Adam Driver and Lady Gaga are perfect for the roles they have. They are high style, well put together individuals, and watching them on screen as the Gucci's does fit well. The only issue is that means they have to have flat acting. I wouldn't say it was their fault, it's the acting style they had to do to make their characters who they were.

Jared Leto and Al Pacino were the saving Grace in the film. Leto came off as comic relief, which I believe was not his original purpose, but without him, this movie would have just been slow, dry, and no fun at all.

This film doesn’t really focus on any of the fashion. This was more about the family dynamics of the Gucci’s. Which is interesting to look at, but as the audience you will want to know more about how it started. You’ll also see all these amazing fashion styles on the screen, but don't really know how they came to be. So you may end up doing lots of googling after the film.

If you’re a fan of the style in the 80s or the music from the 80s, then this movie is perfect for you. Do know that the runtime of this film is rather long, and you may get tired of the slow long talk.

Make sure you stay during the credits to see what ended up happing to the Gucci family members.
