'Halloween Kills' is in Theaters on October 15th, 2021.

Get ready for a Halloween film you will want to see in theaters. This movie is one where you will want to see it with a packed theater, safely of course, because the auidence is what makes the movie even better than what it is.

The film starts minutes after Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter Karen (Judy Greer) and granddaughter Allyson (Andi Matichak) left masked monster Michael Myers caged and burning in Laurie’s basement, Laurie is rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, believing she finally killed her lifelong tormentor.

But when Michael manages to free himself from Laurie’s trap, his ritual bloodbath resumes. As Laurie fights her pain and prepares to defend herself against him, she inspires all of Haddonfield to rise up against their unstoppable monster.

The Strode women join a group of other survivors of Michael’s first rampage who decide to take matters into their own hands, forming a vigilante mob that sets out to hunt Michael down, once and for all.

The cast is perfect for this film, they bring back some of the orginial cast, while reminding you what happen 40 years ago. Jamie Lee has a smaller role in this film, but but they went with what makes sense. A woman in her 60s after being stabbed, wouldn't be out there running around.

The idea of a mob mentality is very timely, but it maybe a poor choice. The mob all wants to kill Michael Myers, but they are just following each other around and beliving the voice of one, rather than checking the facts.

There are some over the top scenes, and scenes that just make you think 'what are they doing' but it works for this film. Just go in thinking 80s style slasher. You will love it.

I will say, watching this movie at hone alone will not do it justice. You will want to go out and watch this with a big group. This is how a perfect 80's horror slasher movie use to be, and they brought it into 2021 perfectly.
