When a young married couple (Michael Ealy and Meagan Good) buys their dream house in the Napa Valley, they think they have found the perfect home to take their next steps as a family. But when the strangely attached seller (Dennis Quaid) continues to infiltrate their lives, they begin to suspect that he has hidden motivations beyond a quick sale.
The Intruder is in theaters on May 3rd, 2019.
The Intruder seems like any movie we've seen before with a couple moving into a new house and someone/thing trying to cause chaos in the normal lives they are trying to live. The strange thing about this movie is the casting. We all know Dennis Quaid, and the movies he has been in range from family movies to your insurance agent.
However, The Intruder has him playing the creepy bad guy neighbor that is trying to intruder in the newly moved in couples lives. Dennis Quaid is the perfect creepy man for this movie. From the smile he gives to the creepy laugh, and even his walk, he will creep you out through the whole film.
The couple, playing by Michael Ealy and Meagan Good, are what you would call stupid. They do things so unbelievable in this film, that they take you away from the movie, and you're just left scratching your head thinking no one in their right might would act this way.
This movie is nothing to see, it's not one you should spend your money on, however, you should see this one in a packed theater. The audience in the theater talking back to the screen actually makes this film better. You're sitting there watching this couple do stupid stuff, and you will want to talk back to this film. So when you hear everyone in the room yelling at the screen, including you, you may just walk away from this film liking it more.
