Aquaman is in theaters on December 21st, 2018.

Jason Moma shines as Aquaman, our favorite fish talking super hero!

I appreciate the chances that DC takes by adding diversity and changing up the looks of their iconic characters. We’re used to seeing Aquaman wearing orange and green tights...often the butt of most superhero jokes across the board. Well I don’t think we will be hearing anyone joke about this Aquaman! Covered in traditional Hawaiian tattoos, long hair, LOTS and LOTS of muscles we have Jason Momoa bringing life back into a character that really needed a makeover.

Even though I saw tons of trailers for this movie there were so many surprises! I was entertained the whole time. I enjoyed all the background stories and the different worlds we traveled to, you really feel engulfed like you are part of their world. All of the creatures were AWESOME, I mean come on, SEA DRAGONS!

The one thing that missed the mark was the storyline for Black Manta (Yaha Abdul-Mateen II).This is Aquaman’s nemesis and he felt like a random side story thrown into it all. I would’ve liked a separate movie about Black Manta and his father and then have them in the Aquaman movies. There’s just so much story to tell and they barely scratched the surface. I know it’s set up for future movies but I felt like one villain was enough.

I also was very bothered by Amber Heard’s (Mera) accent. It was terrible...why not have her use her real accent? I’m pretty sure they have oceans in Australia!

Overall awesome movie, tons of action, loved the treasure hunting. Go see it! You’ll love it to!

Rating: 4.5 out of 5
