The Grinch is in theaters on November 9th, 2018.
Benedict Cumberbatch stars as The Grinch in this modern telling of a classic Dr. Suess story.
The Grinch is not as Grinchy as you would think. He’s lonely and more affectionate towards his only friend - Max. He hates Christmas still and wants to steal it from Whoville.
I love animated films and this one missed the mark. It was not funny when it tries to be and I found myself bored and disinterested. The music is modern with a hip-hop twist - it left me wishing for the original soundtrack.
I did appreciate the animation which was beautiful and Max was adorable.
If you have kids they will probably like it and you can take a nap.

Each year at Christmas they disrupt his tranquil solitude with their increasingly bigger, brighter and louder celebrations. When the Whos declare they are going to make Christmas three times bigger this year, the Grinch realizes there is only one way for him to gain some peace and quiet: he must steal Christmas. To do so, he decides he will pose as Santa Claus on Christmas Eve, even going so far as to trap a lackadaisical misfit reindeer to pull his sleigh.
