Searching is Original and Heart-Stopping - Ashley K's Review

Searching is in select theaters on August 24th, 2018.

John Cho (Harold and Kumar) plays David Kim - a father who goes on a social media quest to find out what happened to his missing daughter.

The movie is shot completely from the view of smart phones and computers, there’s some news footage but none of the scenes are actually “filmed”. It was a very interesting and unique way to tell a story.

I didn’t know anything about this movie other than thinking hey this seems kinda interesting I’ll give it a go. I was blown away. It hooks you right in until you completely invest yourself in this fathers quest to find his daughter. The plot itself has so many different aspects - twists and turns I never would’ve expected.

I absolutely loved this movie - I feel like it’s just revolutionary and I honestly cant think of any other movie I’ve seen like this. Original and heart-stopping, this is a film for all people to enjoy.

I especially think anyone who is a parent should take their teens to see it too!
