Ant-Man and The Wasp is in theaters on July 6th, 2018.

Following the events of Captain America: Civil War, Paul Rudd returns as Scott Lang. He’s been under house arrest for two years and is about to have his freedom when he has a vision of Janet - the original Wasp (Michelle Pfeiffer). He calls Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) describing what had happened. Suddenly Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lily) shows up at his house to get help from him regarding her mother’s whereabouts in the Quantum Realm. The two start their journey together to rescue Janet and have Scott back in time before the FBI realizes he’s gone.

Needless to say if you enjoyed the first Ant-Man you will like this one. Michael Pena is hilarious as usual, I love the flashback scenes when he is describing events, definitely one of the best moments.

We have a new villain who is excellent! Hannah John-Kamen gives a heartbreaking performance as Ghost. I felt so connected to her and I have a feeling she’s going to be in a lot of upcoming Marvel movies.

Evangeline Lilly really stole the show. I’m absolutely obsessed with LOST so naturally - I love her. The fight scenes are so intense and creative I just wish there were more of them, there’s so much you can do with that added element of size changing. I honestly didn’t even need Ant-Man in this movie. I think she could’ve carried it on her own, I wouldn’t be mad with a solo film! Or even one with Wasp and Ghost - I’m sold! I feel like Marvel needed a boost of strong female characters.

Stay for the 2 ending scenes - the first one in particular is a nail biter!

Rating: 4 out of 5
