Review: Hell or High Water

Hell or High Water makes you root for bank robbers.

Hell or High Water paints Chris Pine in a different light. You might be use to him in Star Trek, or one of his other movies, but this is a more serious role he plays. This character he creates on screen is one that may just knock your socks off. He's the caring brother who doesn't want to commit a crime, but knows he has to, to save his family house.

Jeff Bridges also plays a character we are not too familiar with. He is the sheriff trying to hunt down Chris Pine and his brother. In this role though, he plays more comical. His jokes towards his partner are too funny not to laugh, and the way he acts is something short of a sheriff with nothing to lose.

This movie has such a high rating on Rotten Tomatoes that you need to listen to Rotten Tomatoes and go see the movie. It is something that you will still be thinking about a week after seeing the movie, and is one movie you won't want to miss.

Captain Kirk has left the building. Chris Pine did an outstanding acting job in this movie. Hell or High Water is one of those that draws you in slowly and before you know it there are subtle twists and turns and intrigue to rival a James Bond movie. Jeff Bridges is a tough, smart and seasoned Texas Ranger with a dry wit. Bank robber brothers is not a new theme, however, in this movie it is a theme well done. Thoughtful and provoking and make you question how far will you got for family. This is 2 hours well spent.

I loved this film! The acting was amazing and the story kept me interested. This is no blockbuster but a real and gritty story of a small Texan life. A must-see for any movie buff!

I really enjoyed the outlaw bad boy brothers take on a robin hood, thelma and lousie, taking care of business for the family movie!

I saw this earlier tonight. I completely LOVED it. Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine, and Ben Foster were all excellent in their roles. The storyline was topical, and I could definitely see both sides of the main issues of the film. I'd give it a 4.5/5. GO SEE THIS.
