Ripcord’s Halloween Film Festival today announced a “dirty dozen” of short films that earned their way to the top and will screen for a live audience at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on October 29. There, the finalists will compete for over $200,000 in cash prizes, including a $100,000 first-place prize, the largest ever awarded at a short film festival.
Meet the Dirty Dozen of Ripcord’s Halloween Film Festival. Originally planned as a Top 10, the lineup grew to 12 after fan voting came down to the wire and the festival directors couldn’t bring themselves to cut two more standout films.
