Onward is in theaters on March 6th, 2020.
Onward is a movie about family relationships that I haven’t seen represented very often. It had proper
character development, beautiful animation, and a storyline that will tug at your heartstrings.
As I get older, I hear more and more people say that animated movies are for the younger generations. I care less and less about that opinion with movies like Onward. There are valuable lessons for younger kids to learn in this movie. Healthy family interactions, grief, and letting go as things change are some of the most obvious throughout the movie. Some of those same lessons should also serve as a reminder to adults about what’s really important in life.
If you’re looking to take the family to a movie this weekend, then add Onward to the list of possibilities. There are a ton of genuine laugh out loud moments and an overall feel good movie.
Rating: 4.1 out of 5
