Glass is in theaters on January 18th, 2019.

The final film in the M. Night Shyamalan trilogy is supposed to break the box office gloom that is upon us in January. Unfortunately this is another film that will be forgotten by the end of the year.

Bruce Willis returns as David Dunn, Samuel L. Jackson is back as Elijah Price and rounding out this all star cast is James McAvoy, mainly playing Kevin Wendell but also blowing us all away with his incredible acting and diverse range. We are introduced to a new character, Dr. Ellie Staple played by Sarah Paulson.

David, Kevin and Elijah find themselves at the same mental institution where Dr. Ellie specializes in “curing” people who think they are superheroes.

The plot was not interesting at all. They get put in a mental hospital and no one really fights to get out? Or calls a lawyer? There were so many parts that - outside of a super hero movie were just so ridiculously unbelievable. I was expecting a crazy adventure and it only took place in a mental institution?

The only saving grace is James McAvoy who is such an amazing actor I’m just in awe. He plays about 10 different characters and you believe each one is a different person. I loved split and his character in this film holds up especially seeing more of “The Beast” personality.

I was very disappointed in this film and was definitely expecting more. It’s very surprising this movie took 19 years to make.

Rating: 2 out of 5
