Richie Merritt plays White Boy Rick, and a quick IMDB search will show you that this is his first film acting job. Which is crazy to think about because he was an amazing actor in this movie. Richie Merritt will be a name to watch out for in the future as I am sure he will be bringing us good things soon. So keep your eyes open for him.
Matthew McConaughey who plays White Boy Rick's father is a great addition to the movie, the only issue was, was that Matthew McConaughey was under used. You can't have a house hold name in a movie, and not make him shine out in the movie. His performance was not on par with how he normally performs in some of his previous films. Matthew McConaughey did get into a character that we could relate to, he just wanted the best for his kids. It's the little moments he spent with his on-screen son, that gave you the glimpse of the amazing actor her normally is.
