Perfection.

I don’t know what other word I would use to describe this movie. If you are a Guillermo Del Toro fan, you won’t be disappointed. There are so many movies that are just lacking, story wise and being original - everything is a sequel or remake. If you are looking for something new that will move you, go see this!

This movie tells the story of Elisa(Sally Hawkins), she is mute and works as a cleaning lady in a hidden government facility with her best friend, Zelda (Octavia Spencer). Elisa and Zelda find themselves in charge of cleaning a particular room that is keeping a mysterious creature captive. Elisa ends up befriending the creature and the movie tells the story of their relationship.

Everything about this movie was captivating. From the sets, costumes, music, imagery, and most of all the unique characters and story line. It’s funny and heartbreaking, it moved me in so many ways.

Please go see this movie and let me know what you thought of it, this is probably the best movie I have seen all year.
